In einen überaus dramatischen World Juniors Semifinalspiel gelang der USA nachdem Finnland noch ein 1:3 aufholen konnte dank Arthur Kaliyev doch noch der 4:3 Sieg.
Team Canada macht mit drei Toren in 15 Spielminuten alles klar und siegt im ersten Semifinale der World Juniors am Ende gegen Russland hoch verdient mit 5:0.

Das US Team hatte im vierten Viertelfinale der World Juniors mit der Slowakei mehr mühe als erwartet und feiert am Ende aber doch einen klaren 5:2 Erfolg.
Schweden führte im zweiten World Juniors Viertelfinale 2:0, am Ende jubeln aber die Finnen über einen 3:2 Sieg wobei Roni Hirvonen 23 Sekunden vor Ende zum Game Winner traf.
Im ersten Viertelfinale der World Juniors machte es das DEB Team den Russen sehr schwer. Am Ende siegte die Mannschaft von Igor Larionov aber knapp mit 2:1.
Die USA gewinnt gegen Schweden mit 4:0 und holt sich damit noch Platz 1 in der World Juniors Gruppe B. US Goalie Spencer Knight feiert sein zweites Shutout im dritten Spiel.
