Die USA musste lange gegen das DEB Team kämpfen um am Ende einen 5:3 Sieg zu feiern. Finnland schlägt Russland im Shootout und Weißrussland die Schweiz. Kanada schießt Schweden 12:1 ab.
Im ersten Spiel des Tages trafen die Schweden auf Tschechien. Was oft ein Leckerbissen bei World Juniors war, war heute eine klare Sache für die Schweden.
